I think the only appropriate words to describe this engagement session at Jordan Lake is “roaring great time.” Amanda and Zack are so fun and just have such an easy and fun time together, so this was one of our liveliest sessions to date! Their easy-going natures and knack for making each other belly laugh made this session an absolute breeze!
These two met online and their first date was going to be dinner and the movies, but Amanda texted Zack that she was going to show up in pjs because she was too lazy to put on real clothes and Zack joined her by answering the door in his pjs! They sat down to to chat a little before the movie and 12 hours later Amanda noticed the sunrise and had to run out the door to go let her dog out. They just clicked and started spending every evening together and 2 years later Zack popped the question!
Now, their proposal story is just so them! Zack jokingly threw their debit card out the window at a Starbucks on their way to pick out a Christmas gift for her mom making them get out to look for it. After about 15 minutes of searching with no luck, Amanda got back in the car only to later realize the card was in the car the whole time! As a ploy to also throw Amanda off his trail, Zack suggested they just look at rings for some ideas in the future. Amanda found her dream ring and wedding band but of course she took it off at the store and continued to go find a gift for her mom but, here’s the key, they split up to go buy gifts for their parents! Unbeknownst to Amanda, Zack went back to the jewelry store and purchased that dream ring. Later that evening he told her that looking at rings scared him and he realized he wasn’t ready for a relationship. After giving Amanda a scare he said “just kidding” and pulled out the ring and followed with a really sweet proposal. Amanda responded with “if this is a joke it’s a really mean one” but of course a resounding “yes!” as soon as she knew he was for real. Unorthodox for sure, but such a perfect story for them!

Their engagement session at Jordan Lake really showed off their fun-loving nature and their abilities to make each other laugh so effortlessly – I’m so stoked for their wedding because I KNOW it’s going to be an amazing one! I hope you love a few of my favorites below!
After hanging out in the parking lot for a little bit, we drove down to another spot on Jordan Lake with a small little beach.

Then we all decided it was time to open some champagne to celebrate their engagement!
After getting a little champagne in their symptoms, Amanda and Zach decided to get a little wet despite the slightly chilly temperatures.
Okay, they got completely soaked with a water fight!
