Mannnnnnn, there are so many things to say about Kasey + Steve’s fabulous wedding I don’t even know where to start!
We started off our 2022 wedding season with a winter mountain wedding at Hawkesdene for Kasey + Steve’s gem inspired wedding. Now it was the beginning of March, so we were full expecting a winter chill to the air. Instead we had a beautiful 70 degree day with all of the sunshine you could ask for!
Kasey + Steve chose Hawkesdene for many reasons, but one was to provide their guests with a truly unforgettable experience. Guests traveled the day before their wedding and stayed in the cozy little cabins throughout the property all weekend. Hawkesdene hosted everyone throughout the weekend with delicious food, incredible sights, and some sweet mountain air! Seriously, it was essentially an inclusive resort for the weekend with intentional time spent in the beautiful western North Carolina mountains!
It was the perfect backdrop for a wedding, and Kasey + Steve made every decision intentionally to spend time with loved ones and party hard! I think you can tell from their images just how much fun these two have together… and when you throw in their friends and family it’s a nonstop party! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect couple to kick off our 2022 wedding year off with and I hope you enjoy just a few of my favorite images from their winter mountain wedding at Hawkesdene.

After their wedding party portraits we headed up the mountain to catch the last bit of sunlight over the valley. Confession time… I was mildly terrified on the ride up and down the mountain. The incline was steep with some sharp turns on a dirt road. Thank goodness the road was dry! But the portraits were definitely worth me slightly fearing for my life ????
After the first dances the party kicked off with a game of limbo!
Then came the most anticipated part of the evening… the Disney flash mob! At every wedding this tight-knit group of friends have a Disney flash mob and picking the perfect song is of course no easy feat! The flash mob danced to “Belle”. The group started circling Kasey as they began singing the opening song to Beauty and the Beast.
And then the crowd threw Steven in to join Kasey at the mention of Gaston to make sure they both were included in the flash mob!
