Man… where do I even begin with these two? We had an absolute blast hanging out with Carah + Zach at the JC Raulston Arboretum and Boylan Bridge for their engagement session on a hot September afternoon.
These two high school sweethearts have been together for nearly 14 years… in fact it’ll be their 14 year anniversary the same month they officially get married this spring! They met through a mutual friend and Carah sneakily put her phone number into Zach’s phone while they were hanging out one evening. They’ve been inseparable ever since even when Carah ordered chicken fingers for the next 30 dates! This is a little funny fact to me because now Carah is definitely a foodie – whenever they travel together Carah loves to look up menus for restaurants so she can game plan all of the delicious meals they’re going to eat!
Zach proposed on one of their annual friend trips out to the mountains and surprised Carah on a bridge with a gorgeous ring he designed! They brought their adorable pup Yoohoo with them on the trip and Zach fastened the ring around Yoohoo’s neck to really help bring the whole family together in that moment. Carah immediately said yes and then we even more surprised when both of their families jumped out of hiding and started cheering for them!
We ran all over Raleigh for their engagement session: starting at the JC Raulston Arboretum to get the beautiful lush greenery, Market Square featuring cobblestone roads and their sweet pup Yoohoo, and ending at Boylan Bridge to feature the Raleigh skyline. We ended with a delicious dinner and wonderful conversation at Wye Hill Kitchen and Brewing.
“Don’t stress and wear something that you feel good in! Be yourself & truly enjoy the moment.”
I absolutely cannot wait for Carah + Zach’s wedding this spring! I know it’s going to be so full of love, joy, and a great time!
