We had such a FUN time hanging out with these two at the North Carolina Museum of Art for their engagement session! Hayley and Zach wanted a location with a lot of versatility regarding architecture, woods, open fields, and some wonderful light for those bright backgrounds. Needless to say, they picked the perfect location!
These two are currently living up in Ohio, but they met at NC State while they were both studying for their Master’s degrees in analytics. They hung out with their classmates on day at Bruegger’s Bagels for lunch and then again later for some fun games and drinks. Their first date though honestly sounds like they perfect first date to me – they got take out from Moe’s (yesssssss Mexican food) and watched some movies while coloring in coloring books to help de-stress from the hectic nature that is grad school life. As a proud owner of some Disney themed coloring books myself, I totally approve! Zach proposed at a pumpkin patch much to Hayley’s surprise surrounded by a few of their friends and here we are!
Also, these two both love watching Disney movies and playing board games with one of their favorites being Ticket To Ride. To say I feel connected to these two on a personal level would be an understatement because those are a few of my favorite things, too!
“Don’t be afraid to let loose and have fun! Think about your pictures reflecting the type of couple that you are and plan your day around that. Bring your dog if you have one! And plan your outfits out a few weeks ahead of time…instead of last minute like us!”
I hope you enjoy a few of our favorites from their incredibly fun engagement session at the North Carolina Museum of Art below!
Did you notice that Zach’s shirt is a pattern of bicycles?! I’m going to be honest, while we were photographing I didn’t realize this but somehow we all started discussing hobbies and these two love bike riding together – to say this conversation clicked while I was editing is probably a little embarassing…. but here we are! Anyways, these two love bike riding together and I think it is so fun Zach incorporated their hobby into his clothing.
Piggy back rides always take the session to the next level of fun! But there is only one more thing that makes an engagement session even better…. dogs!! These two brought their greyhound baby Wally to their session for a few family photos with their dapper little guy. And yes, we all discussed how we think “Wall-E” when saying his name! Kindred spirits guys!!
